Nothing says Laziali wine like the Cesanese – a classic grape of the Lazio region. And this is Ômina Romana’s tribute to the local varietal that everyone must try. Cesanese is usually produced in a light and ready to drink style, but Ômina Romana have taken a unique approach. With a long aging process of one year in French oak followed by one year in the bottle, the taste and flavour is elegant, broad and complex, and the light colour and how the taste develops in the mouth can be likened to the great Pinot Noirs from Burgundy. This wine is best decanted and particularly suited to large Burgundy wine glasses, to fully appreciate the beautiful bouquet of the wine.
