Janus is the Roman god with two faces, usually referring to beginnings and endings. And from beginning to end, this wine tells a story of excellence. The wine is the result from three international varieties cultivated in Ômina Romana’s estate. Each variety is aged for 18 to 22 months in French oak barrels. Then, after assemblage, the wine rests in the bottle for a further 18 months. The saying “good things come to those who wait” definitely comes to mind, and once opened, you can’t fail to appreciate the deep colour and intense flavour of the Janus Geminus – a direct result of the effort and time it took to develop this astonishing wine.
