Primitivo, also known as Zinfandel in the new world, gets its name from the early harvest. It is in fact one of the earliest harvests in Italy, starting during the incredibly hot summer, in August. Attanasio leaves the grapes to dry naturally on the tree, starting the harvest later than other producers. This ensures an incredibly ripe wine, with sweet notes that may remind you of some red dessert wines, while retaining a dry structure that allows it to be paired gracefully with rich meat dishes. A wine born to impress and delight. Rich and intense ruby color, delivers a full and dry taste in mouth, along with blackberry, dried fig and some oaky notes. Love this wine and it will love you back!
