Swirl's White Selection

Turranio—dedicated to a famous monk winemaker that lived in the same area where this winery lies. The Sauvignon from Friuli is famous for its “green” notes—with an aroma of typical tomato leaf notes. In addition to this, the wine itself has a dry, mineral flavour with hints of passion fruit, grapefruit and cantaloupe. Pair it with herb-based first courses like herb risottos or asparagus.

Moscato is made with a particular grape, defined as semi-aromatic and differs greatly from the grapes that are usually used to produce wine. The main difference is in its sugar content, resulting in higher sweetness in the wines produced—and an exotic, fruity taste. Piemonte wine is traditionally slightly sparkling and drunk both as an aperitif and dessert wine. Pairs well with a large variety of desserts, ice cream, fresh fruit and baked goods.

Grillo used to be the main grape used for Marsala fortified wine and is famous for its versatility and great character. In Grillo del Barone each tasting element finds its perfect place: an intense and warm feeling in the mouth, balanced by sustained acidity and minerality. Surprises with complex and sophisticated (some sommeliers even find petrol-like nuances, so addictive!) secondary notes. A great wine for any occasion.

Deliberately playing with the unusual and rare name of Balbino, Terenzi decided to use it in its original Latin inflection, from a Roman emperor name: Balbinvs. It represents in fact the "evolution" of their basic Vermentino, to a more austere and powerful expression of this varietal. The grapes used for this wine have passed the highest grade of selection: fully ripe and unbroken. A full, intense white wine, perfect for an elegant dinner and to celebrate with family and friends in the hot japanese summer.

Viognier: while very hard to pronounce, it is not hard to drink at all. Terenzi's interpretation of this originally French varietal is striking in its freshness and structure. A look at the elegant label, with the intricate geometries, suggests already the complexity of flavours that this wine boasts when served. Pure lush and enjoyment, the kind of white wine that can break into the heart of hardcore red wine lovers.

A classic italian white. Made with grapes that are heroically created by vines that have lived for more than a century. Inviting notes of mature tropical fruit with delicate notes of citrus and hints of yellow flowers makes this wine a hit for any occasion.
