Nestled on the highest hills of Radda in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico, Tuscany, Premiata Fattoria di Castelvecchi features a remarkable millennial cellar beneath ancient castle vaults, surrounded by medieval landscapes of woods, vineyards, olive groves, and historic villages. Owned by the Paladin family, the estate revives centuries-old Tuscan traditions through restored old vineyards and eleven distinct crus at elevations of 500-600 meters, with unique microclimates and soils.
Guided by a philosophy of purity, slowness, and respect for time, it crafts elegant, characterful Sangiovese-based wines of exceptional balance, fragrance, structure, and longevity.

This new addition to Swirl's cellar is a versatile classic Chianti. Deep ruby red with vibrant violet reflections, inviting aromas of ripe red berries—cherry, plum, and blueberry—on the nose, with delicate floral hints of violet and rose, accented by subtle spicy notes.
The palate is harmonious and balanced, with good structure, lively acidity, and soft, mature tannins that lend freshness and elegance. Full-bodied yet remarkably drinkable, it reveals a classic Sangiovese character with great typicity from the high-altitude Radda in Chianti terroir.
