Serramarrocco
This precious wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The origin of this uncommon blend for sicilian winemaking lies into the story of the Serramarrocco family: during the WW2 and with fascists racial laws enforced in Italy, the then Barone di Serramarrocco could guarantee Baron Rotschild Lafite a safe passage back to France. As a sign of gratitude, few vines from the Chateau Lafite were donated to Serramarrocco. A glimpse of Bordeaux’s best on the hills of Trapani. An incredibly satisfying mouthfeel, rich and warm, with refined, rounded tannins and a finish rich in black fruits and oaky nuances. Refined and aged in Allier oak for 12 months.
