On June 3rd, 2026, Swirl Wine took part as the official sponsor of the Festa della Repubblica reception — Italy's National Day — held at the Embassy of Italy in Tokyo.
We served Doppio Passo Moscato, Doppio Passo Primitivo and wines from Bosco del Merlo. It was a proud moment to pour for a double milestone: 80 years of the Italian Republic, celebrated alongside 160 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan.
Three ministers of the Japanese government were in attendance, and I had the honour of speaking briefly with Minister Onoda.
Connecting Italy and Japan through wine — a day that reminded us exactly why Swirl exists.
