Dolcetto d'Alba
The Dolcetto d’Alba means “little sweet one” in Italian, but the actual wine itself is quite dry and slightly bitter (tannic). It has an aroma of red fruit and has a powerful and persistent flavour while being soft and balanced on the palate. Its colour is an intense and vibrant violet-ruby red with rich extracts. Pair this wine with any meal, though it’s ideal with a first course of pasta with light sauces, white meats and grilled vegetables.
