October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bosco del Merlo (Casa Paladin), a family winery in Veneto, has run its Life in Rosé breast cancer awareness project since 2018. Swirl brings the Japan chapter to Trattoria Civi in Shirokanedai for one night only.
What is Life in Rosé?
Bosco del Merlo is run by the third generation of the Paladin family, sisters Francesca and Martina. In 2018 they began setting aside a share of the proceeds from their Prosecco Rosé and Pinot Grigio Rosé every year for breast cancer prevention and awareness. In Italy the project works alongside LILT (the Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer) and its Pink Ribbon campaign, with sports events, free health check-ups, and prevention talks with doctors and nutritionists. By 2024 it had given 35,000 euros to cancer research.
The idea has never been "drink to support a cause." It is about using the dinner table as a place to think about prevention and wellbeing. This evening brings exactly that approach to Tokyo.

The donation
10% of the ticket revenue and of wine sold on the night goes to the Hohoemi Fund for breast cancer, run by the Japan Cancer Society, a Japanese public interest foundation. One rule, no fine print. We publish the final figure on this site after the event.

Good to know
- Guests must be 20 or over. Please do not drive to the event.
- Cancellations and changes in numbers are accepted until Friday 2 October. After that the full fee applies.

- We will take photos during the evening, which may be used on the Swirl and Bosco del Merlo websites and social media. If you prefer not to appear, just let our staff know on the night.
